Specialist Critical Care Medicine
Dr. Sherif is a dedicated intensivist with over 15 years of experience in critical care medicine. He earned his MBBCH from Fayoum University, Egypt, in 2006, and went on to complete a Master’s and MD (PhD) in Critical Care Medicine from Cairo University. He also holds the European Diploma in Intensive Care (EDIC) and is a member of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM).
In addition, Dr. Sherif has achieved multiple UK‑based qualifications, including MRCEM (UK), MRCP Part 1 & 2 Written (UK), and the MRCP SCE in Acute Medicine (UK).
Before joining RAK Hospital, he worked at several institutions in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the UAE. He is also currently serving as an Adjunct Clinical Faculty – Assistant Professor of Intensive Care at RAK Medical and Health Sciences University since 2024.
Dr. Sherif is highly experienced in managing critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU), including cardiothoracic surgery critical care, neurosurgical, renal, diabetic, and surgical emergencies, among others. He is skilled in advanced life support, invasive monitoring, and multidisciplinary ICU management. He maintains a strong focus on comprehensive care for life‑threatening conditions requiring close monitoring and specialized interventions. His dedication to improving patient outcomes reflects his unwavering commitment to the field of critical care.
