Consultant Interventional Cardiologist
Dr. Tarek is a highly skilled, patient-oriented cardiologist with over 18 years of expertise in both interventional and non-invasive cardiology. He is proficient in diagnosing and treating a wide range of cardiovascular conditions using modern advanced techniques and technologies. He completed his fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology at Heart Center Saar (the academic teaching hospital of the University of Saarland) in Germany and received the German Board of Internal Medicine and Cardiology in 2015. After that, he continued working as a consultant at Heart Center Saar, one of the high-volume heart centers in Germany, where he gained excellent experience in cardiac imaging, echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and cardiac computed tomography to diagnose and treat complex heart diseases.
He has performed more than 5,000 coronary angiograms and over 2,000 coronary angioplasties. Furthermore, he helped to build the program of minimally invasive interventional therapy for heart valves (valvuloplasty, transcatheter aortic valve replacement [TAVR], transcatheter mitral valve repair, and transcatheter tricuspid valve repair). He actively participates in research, academic conferences, and publications to contribute to the advancement of interventional cardiology and ensure evidence-based practice.
