About Dr. Karibasavaraja Neelagar

Dr. Neelagar is an experienced Urologist specializing in Uro-Oncology, Andrology, Kidney Transplant, and Robotic Surgery, with over 15 years of surgical experience. He earned his MBBS in 2002 from JJM Medical College, Davanagere, Karnataka, India. He then obtained his MS in General Surgery in 2006 from Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College, Kolar, Karnataka, India. Furthermore, he completed his DNB in Urology in 2013 from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, India.

Dr. Neelagar has performed over 300 laser-enabled prostate surgeries, BMG urethroplasties, and 100 kidney transplants, in addition to routine endourological procedures for kidney stones. He has extensive experience in a wide range of urological procedures, including Endourology (Laser TURP, Urolift, TURBT, PCNL, URS, RIRS), Andrology (Varicocelectomy, Vasectomy, Vaso-vasostomy, Penile Prosthesis), Laparoscopy (Nephrectomy, Pyeloplasty, Pelvic Lap), Uro-Oncology (Radical Cystectomy with Neobladder, Radical Prostatectomy, Radical Nephrectomy), Reconstructive Urology (Urethroplasty, Hypospadias Repair, Bladder Neck Reconstruction, Epispadias Repair), and Renal Transplant Surgeries (Donor and Recipient). He completed his training in Robotic Surgery in 2018, both basic and advanced, on the latest Da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system. In addition, Dr. Neelagar is trained in Sacral Neuromodulation Therapy at NHS, Bristol, UK.

Before joining RAK Hospital, he worked at Fortis Hospital in India and as a visiting specialist in various health centers in the Middle East and Africa, primarily in Oman and Nigeria. He is actively involved in urological research and has contributed to numerous publications in esteemed medical journals.
