About Dr. Ahmad Qassem Alabrass

Dr. Ahmad Qassem Alabrass is a Board-Certified Specialist Interventional Cardiologist with over 10 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine and more than 1,500 cardiovascular procedures performed. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Damascus University, Syria, in 2014, followed by a Master’s degree in Cardiology and a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Latakia University, Syria. He also holds the Syrian Board Certification in Cardiology.

Dr. Ahmad’s clinical expertise encompasses coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), complex coronary interventions, and the management of acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions. His areas of particular interest include coronary bifurcation lesions, multivessel coronary artery disease, and advanced coronary imaging and physiological assessment techniques, including intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), fractional flow reserve (FFR), and instantaneous wave-free ratio (iFR). Before joining RAK Hospital, he practiced as an Interventional Cardiologist at Latakia University Hospital, Syria.
