About Dr. Ahmed Sharafeldin

Dr. Ahmed is a German board‑certified cardiologist and interventional cardiologist with more than 17 years of comprehensive experience across education, training, and clinical practice in Germany. He earned his M.B.B.Ch. in 2007 from Ain Shams University in Egypt, after which he briefly worked at the National Heart Institute in Cairo. He then pursued his medical career in Germany, accumulating over 15 years of hands‑on experience in leading German medical institutions. In addition to his German medical license, he holds full medical licensure and specialist registration in the United Kingdom (GMC – Specialty Register) as well as a Swiss medical license (MEBEKO).

Dr. Ahmed has performed more than 1,500 interventional procedures, with extensive expertise in complex coronary and high‑risk cardiac interventions. His clinical proficiency includes percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), chronic total occlusions (CTO), bifurcation stenting, and advanced atherectomy systems (Orbital and Rotational). He is also highly skilled in physiologic lesion assessment (FFR, iFR) and intravascular imaging modalities (IVUS, OCT).

A respected clinical mentor and active contributor to research, Dr. Ahmed has advanced the field of cardiology through training programs, workshops, and academic presentations. He is widely recognized for his clinical precision, compassionate patient care, and unwavering commitment to innovation, safety, and excellence in interventional cardiology.
