Job Summary:

The Specialist Physiatrist will assess, diagnose, and manage physical and rehabilitation needs for patients with a focus on improving their quality of life. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans and provide comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to diagnose physical impairments and functional limitations.
  • Design and implement personalized rehabilitation plans using evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare providers to deliver multidisciplinary care.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatments as needed.
  • Educate patients and families on therapy plans and preventive measures to promote long-term recovery.
  • Stay updated with advancements in physical medicine and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and ethical practices.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid DHA/MOH/HAAD license or eligibility as a Specialist Physiatrist in the UAE.
  • Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Proven expertise in managing musculoskeletal disorders, neurological conditions, and chronic pain.
