Dr. Ravichandran earned his MBBS in 2010 from the Government Medical College, Tuticorin, India, and completed his MS in General Surgery in 2015 from the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, Pondicherry, India. He received his Diploma in National Board (DNB) in 2015 and his MRCS (Edinburgh) in 2016. He is an expert in handling all general surgical procedures and abdominal surgeries. Before joining RAK Hospital, he worked as an Assistant Professor and Consultant in General Surgery at Kovai Medical Centre Hospital Institute of Health Sciences and Research, India. He also worked as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary Surgery in the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire, Coventry, UK. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons and a member of the Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland. He has experience in teaching para-clinics, undergraduates, and post-graduate students which include bedside clinics, surgical skills demonstrations, and clinical presentations.
