Dr. ElTawashy received her Bachelor degree of Medicine and General Surgery from Alexandria University, Faculty of Medicine, Egypt, in 2001. She further chose to specialize in diagnostic radiology field and obtained her Master\u2019s degree in radiology from the same university in 2008. Dr. May further sub-specialized in fetal imaging and attained two degrees from Barcelona University, Spain; \u201cExpert in imaging in Maternal fetal medicine Diploma\u201d and a \u201cPostgraduate degree in Fetal Cardiology\u201d. Dr. May is certified by Fetal medicine foundation to perform 11-13 weeks NT scan.
\nDr. May has more than 16 years of experience and has previously worked in Alex Scan Radiology Centre, Egypt, Royale Hayat Hospital and Al Salam International Hospital, Kuwait.
\nIn RAK hospital, she has been in charge of fetal and maternal Obstetric ultrasound unit since 2016. During her job in RAK hospital, Dr. May has performed more than 50,000 Obstetric scans and played a key role in antenatal and postnatal decision making as well as diagnosing complex fetal malformations and gynecological pathologies. She is competent in all aspects of prenatal scanning, diagnosis of fetal abnormalities and complex fetal growth restriction cases. She works closely with our team of Obstetricians and other relevant specialists to facilitate good perinatal outcomes in normal and high risk pregnancies.
\nDr. May is also a tremendously experienced breast radiologist, performing all breast imaging modalities including ultrasound scans, reporting screening, diagnostic digital mammograms and tomosynthesis. She is a member of European society of breast imaging, EGSBI and SBI, attended various workshops and webinars.<\/p>\n
